About Sto Products

Adhesives and Base Coats

Sto BTS® Plus – a one-component, polymer-modified, cement-based dry powder material used as adhesive and base coat in StoTherm Insulated Wall Claddings. It is self-gauging to help achieve the recommended 1/16" (1.6 mm) base coat thickness in a single coat application. Sto’s highest quality adhesive/base coat, Sto BTS Plus is factory blended to assure the proper cement-to-water ratio, for assured performance. Water is added at the job site.

Sto BTS Silo – a one-component, polymer-modified, cement-based variation of Sto BTS Plus, specially engineered for use with StoSilo machines for adhesive and base coat application. Water is added at the job site, via the StoSilo equipment. Sto Dispersion Adhesive – a ready-mixed, acrylic-based, wet pail alternative adhesive used to attach Sto EPS Insulation Board to prepared sheathing, concrete or masonry substrates in StoTherm Wall Claddings.

Sto Primer/Adhesive-B – a one-component, polymer-modified, cement-based dry powder material that is factory blended to assure proper mixing ratio. Sto’s most economical adhesive and base coat material, Sto Primer/Adhesive-B is used to attach Sto Insulation Board to prepared sheathing, concrete or masonry substrates and as base coat in StoTherm’s Essence Claddings. Water is added at the job site.

Sto Primer/Adhesive – a two-component, acrylic-based pail material that is mixed at the job site with Portland Cement. Sto Primer/Adhesive can be used to attach Sto Insulation Board to prepared sheathing, concrete or masonry substrates and as base coat in Sto’s Essence Claddings.

Sto RFP – a ready-mixed, acrylic-based wet pail material used as an alternative base coat to Sto BTS Plus in the StoTherm Classic and StoTherm Premier Claddings. Its all-acrylic formulation eliminates the risk of efflorescence.

Sto Insulation Board – rigid expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam insulation boards, available in thicknesses from 3/4" to 4" (19-102 mm). It provides an R-value of approximately 4.0 per inch.

Sto Mesh – a coated glass fiber fabric that is embedded in Sto base coats to provide reinforcement and impact resistance in StoTherm Insulated Wall Claddings. Available heavier mesh fabrics and additional base coat applications can provide higher levels of impact resistance for higher-traffic areas.

Sto Armor Mat – a coated glass fiber fabric that is embedded in Sto base coats to provide reinforcement and ultra-high impact resistance for high traffic areas and areas subject to abuse in StoTherm Wall Claddings
